Used pillows - how to dispose of them

I just refreshed my pillows with new ones and trying to figure out if any group - humane society? - uses old pillows. It is not something that I have seen discussed as yet but we all reach this situation at some point.
    What do you do?
As Cicero said, “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.”

I use down pillows so I cut them open and recyle the feathers to the universe (or compost, if you prefer).

Donate them to an animal rescue. Lots of litters arriving soon and they can use all pillows, blankets, towels.

    Animal rescue or humane society.

(Personally, I make dog beds out of mine, and when they are just too dirty, they hit the garbage can.)

I just did this myself, refreshed a few pillows on my bed so now the feral cat has a nice new cushy bed and the dog as well. When they are smelly at nose height I'll just toss them in the trash and by that time I'll need to refresh a few more bed pillows.
