I think people usually put them around plants that like acidic soil, like azaleas, blueberries etc. (although blueberries are so picky I'm not sure this enough, oh whatever we - me and my mom - grow blueberries in containers but yea the azeleas are getting coffee, they seem to be doing ok)

Composted here. I do let them dry out some on the counter first; with a filter full each day I found i was having problems with the compost being too moist.

I compost the grounds and brown filter both. The paper disappears quickly. I suppose it would be too much to expect the residual caffeine to accelerate plant growth.
For you composters - do you keep a bucket or something in the kitchen and toss stuff in there and then take it outside every few days?

Yes, and we do empty it everyday. We use a big enamel stockpot with a lid and keep it on top of kitchen counter.Originally Posted by beckyliz

Float On: My "Happy Place" is on my little kayak in the coves of Table Rock Lake.
Plastic butter tub in the sink, dump every day or so. If I can't get to it I put it in the freezer overnight.
