I stepped out to listen to 500 frogs, and I watched the lights of the fireflies.
May God be with you and bless you,
May you see your children's children,
May you be rich in blessings,
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

Solstice week and I would have to stay up very late to see fireflies here in the Maritimes....but the blessing of the season is on me, too, and the long, long evenings feel full of wonder and hope even in light of all else that is happening. The low sun pouring over the river, lighting the rails of the bridge like fire, cormorants and gulls settling in for the evening after ten, people out late, walking dogs and themselves in the lingering light....it brings me a sense of peacefulness.
Thank you, dado potato for the reminder to stop and look and listen.
I've been depressed lately, but I can tell you, I always turn to nature for comfort. She always has so much to give!
Beautiful.
