    High mileage foods!

    What are some specific items or dishes that you get remarkably high mileage out of? For instance, what can you eat often without getting appetite fatigue?

    A couple personal examples would be:
    -kefir with fruit and nuts
    -baked yam with coconut oil and garlic
    -over medium eggs with breakfast-style potatoes

    I have these items several times each week!

    I eat a cheese plate as a snack several times a week (various cheeses, nuts, dried fruit, once in a while coldcuts or sausage of some sort).
    We have pasta with tomato sauce typically once a week.
    I have toast and coffee for breakfast almost every day.

    Other than that though, we typically get a lot of variety. I usually don't make the same thing the same way twice, and I cook with the seasons so there's variety there.

    Breakfast: Greek yogurt, berries, almonds mixed together. Scrambled eggs with cheese (cheddar or Feta) and toast/jam (my homemade 10grain).

    Lunch/Dinner: chili/cornbread, grilled salmon or chicken w/roasted veg-broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, carrots, spinach salad with smoked chicken or pulled pork or salmon

    OK. I'm hungry now

    anything with farro, that is really a filling and tasty food.

    Anything with liver; colorful vegetables, soups and salads full of garlic, shallots, onions...Generous amounts of meat. I'm with you on eggs.

    Getting ready to make yogurt with L.Reuteri cultures that purportedly increase oxytocin. And kombucha.

    Make a variety of stir fries... such a variation that there is never a burnout!

    Late winter and early spring I get a lot -- I mean a lot -- of mileage from my trout catch.

    Apples and peanut butter is also a super-high miler for me too!

    I could eat beans and rice daily. Also oatmeal with frozen blueberries and nuts. I also have a thing for scrambled eggs with arugula, green onions and mushrooms. Peanut butter on toast.

    Oatmeal - seriously! I put in a variety of fruit, nuts and seed, or spices and make it shine. I like pumpkin stirred into it in the fall, now it's berries, etc.

    Love stir fries!

    We used to do the standard American: meat/starch/veg. Not so much anymore. Now we do salads for lunch or dinner quite often. Same concept as the oatmeal - the base ingredient is the same, but switch up the fixins!
