That in many parts of America, I and my loved ones aren't highly likely to be killed or beaten for being who we are.

Wow... I went to my hometown and celebrated. It was really freakin' hot! That does not bother me, but it did make the parade shorter and move faster. haha

Met up with some old friends, talked, reminisced, and laughed.

Right now we aren’t being jailed or killed for our beliefs. Hopefully, it will continue.

Favorite thing about America.... so this post is inclusive of Canadians and Mexicans as well?

As a citizen of the United States, I'm proud that there will be an opportunity to undo all the things currently making the government and country shameful.

Life is good here. I’ve got no complaints, or very few anyway. I have no plans to flee unless it’s for vacation.

Things seem to be gradually slipping away, but one of my favorite things is the large areas of public land out here in the west. Of course the National Park system is a jewel, but we also have wilderness areas, National Forests, National Monuments, Wild and Scenic Rivers, and expanses of BLM land. And all the diversities of plants and wildlife that go with them.
