    What makes you dance?

On a drive to see a Shaw Festival play yesterday, I enjoyed a CD by Roy Orbison and on my return, a classic country music collection. I wished that I could just dance to the music. Do you dance when you hear certain music? Where? When?
I think that I am going to play my vinyls this afternoon and dance to them.
William Smith, you are triggering my interest in my vinyls so thanks for that.

Great topic--as I said on WS's thread, yes, I've danced to music my whole life--mainly musicals when I was young, but I am likely to break out in dance when I hear songs like Lady Madonna, or Bad Bad Leroy Brown, which as the first song I danced to with DH. Or All I Want for Christmas is You. Or Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin. Or Hair.

That was fun to watch and mellow to listen to as well. Now I have to look for music by the Mavericks

I've always been a non-dancer, take after Dear Dad in that respect. We didn't even have dancing at our wedding; we had a piano player. In more recent years, I have learned this about myself: I can, will, and in fact must dance in the presence of live Grateful Dead music.

I am not a dancer but when I moved into my home I was running through it leaping around in joy.

I usually limit my dancing to whatever is playing in Krogers. I sing along and dance in the aisles to entertain my wife, although I use the term "entertain" loosely.
