I've always cringed when reading about places with a major "corporate culture". Fortunately I've never worked at one. At my current mega-corp all that seems to matter is having the right "can do" attitude and willingness to regurgitate the company line in the occasional big staff meeting, regardless of how one acts on a day to day basis. As long as one states that they are moving in the right direction it doesn't seem to matter a) how one ended up in the wrong place to begin with, or b) whether one actually gets to the desired destination.
