Seeing the death certificate does make it really final, doesn't it? Sending you a long, long hug from Kansas. You deserve a good cry. I know you are a good mom and did your best. Your daughter had a big deck stacked against her and prevailed as long as she could.
"Do not accumulate for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and thieves break in and steal. But accumulate for yourselves treasure in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, your heart is also." Jesus

    I am so sorry.

I consider myself lucky never to have experienced drug addiction in my family. Mental illness? Yes. My niece in Australia, diagnosed with severe depression and eating disorders since her late teens, had a huge breakdown at 42 when she was diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disease II. she has tried to kill herself numerous times, her marriage has ended despite three children, the youngest only 7. My poor sister and her husband spend every day worrying she will succeed in killing herself.

I'm so, so sorry for the loss of your daughter, SQ. I don't know what to say except my deepest condolences.
