It depends on how strong she likes her tea but that would be ample for one cup, IMO.

Yes. This is what Hubby has. And he only drinks loose leaf Gunpowder Green Tea.
Yes, i like those and there are a lot of super cute varieties. I recommend yerba mate loose tea to go with it if you want to give a tea

I think the snap-type are rather small, a good size for a traditional teacup but small for modern mugs. I prefer the type of tea infuser that is a stainless steel basket with holes in it and sits on the top of the mug... kind of like a tea colander.
