What movies are you watching in 2019?

Here we are in 2019. I hope that Hollywood and the Indie world offer better products than they did in 2018.

Well, its Oscar season, so we're trying to get in as many award-nominated films as possible (without actually going to the movies, which might be hard this years)

Last night we saw BlackKKlansman. I really liked it for the most part--it dragged a little and felt long, but it was really enjoyable overall. Denzel's son, John David Washington, did a great job, as did Adam Driver (Full disclosure: I have an old lady crush on him).

Adam Driver is fascinating. We watched Paterson recently. I said to my friend “He is big and ugly and interesting” and she said she didnt think he was ugly. His body proprtions are odd. He is an ex Marine, you know. I am speaking here as another old lady crusher.

I may at some point watch BlackKKlansman.

I love people with interesting faces, and you're right--he's one of them. But I agree with your friend, I don't think he's ugly.

I can’t believe that the Favorite is up for awards.

It had some funny moments but kind of reminds me of the Bill Murray movie Lost in Translation which is the worst movie I ever saw. The coming attractions showed the funny parts leaving the wrong impression. I am not fond of excessive sex in a movie. That got old. We both thought it was boring. But you predicted I wouldn’t like it.

And predictibly, I think Lost in Translation is a great character study, one of Bill Murray’s best. I love him.

.We watched The Leisure Seeker on DVD a couple nights ago. I really liked it. I am a big fan of Donald Sutherland.
