    Red squirrel

We have lots of wildlife around here, but haven't seen too many in this severe cold.
But today, this little guy was sitting on the deck, chewing on a black walnut........of which we have a few million. Theyhave to spend a lot of time and energy to get to the good stuff inside.
Red squirrels really act hyperactive and can be pretty cantankerous, but they're so darned cute. And they love to yell at me, if I'm in their area.

That looks a lot like our squirrels that scamper back and forth along my back fence and up and down the trees.

Jane, that sounds like these. These guys are soooo hyperactive! It's comical.

A few years ago I saw a black squirrel for the first time. I thought, either that squirrel is very dirty or I'm seeing something I've never seen before.

Turns out there are black squirrels. One thing I'll say for the internet, it's really handy for looking up this kind of stuff.
