It's a good day because - as of today - I have been blessed to live for 61 years. Some good years and some bad years, but they were all mine. Wonder how many I have left?? Oh, and Happy Pi Day, everyone! LOL.

It a generally good day for me because I had a few interviews cancelled so I had time to go out for a nice walk--it's sunny and pretty mild out.

It's a good day for DH because he got his medical marijuana card in the mail! He's had a few maladies this winter and can't take most pain medications. So hopefully this will take the edge off.

Today is a good day, because my Dad finally got my Mom to a gerontologist to address her memory loss. She's in denial- says its just old age- even though my Dad is 5 years older and his decline is minor. They have a bunch of things to try to rule out other conditions. At the very least, they can get her some medication to address her paranoia and agitation. My Dad is at the end of his rope.

You can't fix it/or reduce the impact if you don't seek help.

Another Impossible Task completed--dragging a huge box to the PO and picking up deliveries. Now to do my taxes on the stupid new form (why?) and get a BD gift wrapped and mailed. Soon it will be yard work time--the most impossible IT of all...

    Ahhhhh, voluntary income taxes...

Today I completed my tax returns. The new format of the 1040 got me into 5 different morasses. The worst morass for me was Qualified Dividends. I really tried to follow the instructions on "the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain" worksheet... and by Line 14 I had a useless negative value.

So I am punting. I am telling the IRS I had Qualified Dividends, and stating the amount. I am letting them figure out the rest.

What made it good for me today was listening to choral music composed by Gabriel Faure, while I worked on my 1040 tax return.

There are some issues with heat distribution in my house. DS got a free estimate. The good news is that they don't make furnaces to last any more, but ours is old and should have more life in it. One switch was adjusted to move heat from the basement to living quarters. The bad news is that the ductwork is the worst the HVAC guy ever saw, which I believe. (It is held up in places by bent wire coat hangers.) In any case time to budget and plan for a replacement as there does not appear to be any imminent danger of the furnace dying.
