    New Reading Chair!

I decided after 14 years that the large leather chair in the living room was too big for me and too big for the space. The cats had clawed the hell out of it. It was a sturdy, well-made piece and I would have slip-covered or reupholstered it, but it just wasn't that comfortable. I embarked on a Goldilocks-style search and sat in many chairs that were too big, too soft, feet didn't hit the floor, etc. until I finally found one that was just right. It was a bit of a splurge, but I save up my allowance so I can occasionally do something like this. Here it is.

Wow!! That is exactly the kind of chair that would suit me, and I'd love the same thing, if it weren't for the fact that we just bought two wing chairs to replace the funky mid-century modern couch. DH loves wing chairs, and, like you, we went to MANY places to do the Goldilocks thing and thankfully the best fit was found in a consignment shop

But your chair has comfort AND character!! Great chair!

I really like the shape of it, gives an open feel with the back the way it is designed. And it is comfy! I have a small room I rent but I have my own comfy chair, it is a necessity

I have never, to my knowledge, owned a comfortable chair and do all of my reading sitting in a metal folding one, so I am very covetous of your elegant new chair.

JANE! I am so sad for you, I have an Ikea one that was affordable and easy. Check that out before any more years of non-comfy reading.

At this point, I'm punishing myself. No reading chair until I get my new house.
