What don't you like about it?
I have one friend who moved 3 or 5 times in the same building. It is a wonderful early 1900s well maintained building and each apt is so different with different views.
Ultralight, so glad to see you back posting!
Sometimes you just need a change of scenery. Are you looking for something cheaper? Maybe a studio apartment?
Does Harlan adapt easily to new homes?
At least packing up your worldly belongings won't be too dreadful of a task!
So I am going to have to get a new apartment next month -- one way or the other.
And it is going to cause me to move from "comfortable minimalism" to something more extreme.
It will, in a way, be both a return to "extreme minimalism" but also a new terrain of extreme minimalism.
It will be a return because I will have a lot less than my current 250 items.
It will be new terrain because I am going to:
1. Possibly be forced to store much of my stuff in my car if I get an air bnb while waiting to hear back about jobs.
2. Possibly be inclined to keep a lot of stuff boxed up if I get a short term (3 month?) lease somewhere. And therefore live with and on a lot less stuff.
3. Possibly be inclined to just, for my own truth-to-self, minimize when I move full time into my new yearlong lease here, if that is what is happens.
So do you count each individual item such as dishes and clothes? If so 250 is not much.
I have two tentative job offers -- pending background checks, academic transcripts, and signatures of the Big Dogs.
So I might be moving some place else...
