    When you consider the practices of industrial chicken, pork and beef production, the harvest actually seems quite humane, although it is the time of year when the young are not even fully grown. So I don't understand any protests by carnivores. The parks near me use a commercial service with Australian shepherds that chase the geese off ball fields and picnic areas. I've never seen them out working and don't know if it's effective, but their car is in the parking area most mornings.
