As I mentioned in an earlier post, my one eye waters alot. I saw my regular eye doc and he tried to irrigate the duct. Once it worked, once it didn't. He referred me to a specialist.
I saw the specialist yesterday. He's supposedly a really great doc. But he did a couple things that made me think he went through everything too quickly. I'm not even sure the irrigation tube was in the right place.
He said I needed surgery. No openings until October, which was good, so I have time to think about this and do more research......maybe even see another doc.
Yes, my eye waters off and on during the day, but I'm not sure I want this surgery. Plus, he leaves a tube in there to keep the new channel in the nose bone open.......for 2-3 months, and then it comes out easily, back out the tear duct. But you're not supposed to itch your eye during that time. ???
Just curious if any of you have had any experience with this surgery. It requires a general anesthesia with intubation. It's an out-patient procedure.
Damn. One more thing to deal with. It's not a critical problem. I may choose just to have my eye water until I die.
