    robocalls

Up until a few weeks ago, I was getting maybe 3-4 robocalls a week which I could tolerate. All of a sudden, I am getting 10-12 a day. No amount of blocking, ignoring or deleting shows them down. It has gotten so bad that I won't answer my phone at all unless the number is in my contacts. I am beginning to think the phone companies must be making money off of them somehow; otherwise, why would they be allowed to continue??

I don't believe phone companies are "allowing" this. Robocalls are computer programs. "Call all phones that start with 367-408- xxxx gets added in via the programming.

I never answer calls that are not known numbers. But I never have.

If they leave messages and they are significant , please take the time to turn it in to the Better Business Bureau.

The problem is the way caller ID was originally set up. It’s super easy to spoof a phone number. Supposedly the phone companies are working on a solution. I’ll believe it when i see it. In the meantime i just avoid answering the phone. It’s not as though i want to talk to anyone on the phone anyway.

Yes, it’s awful. I actually started looking at apps for call blocking last night.

If you use Verizon, look for Verizon Call Filter.

I do use Verizon. I’ll look for that then. Thanks. How well does it work?

I don't answer any unknown callers, but I only get maybe 5/month, which I can live with. The WORST offenders are the Democrats. I gave money once, and they have been relentlessly stalking me ever since, from a different number every time. They are the reason I don't answer my phone now. And I have been very clear that unless they stop calling me, I'm voting for Trump.

Too early to tell, I just loaded it on Friday. It did however automatically import previously blocked numbers which was cool, so I'm not starting from scratch.
