    Vine squash and cucumbers do GREAT on a trellis. We built "life long" trellis. We bought a 4x8 piece of the concrete underlayment grate (I have no idea what it's called). We bought rebar. Weave the rebar on the grate leavinag about 18 inches to drive in the ground.

    I have 2 of these for cherry tomatoes (6 plants on it) and I have 2 of these for cucumbers-I can get 16 plants on it. I had butternut squash on my backyard wire fencing. I've done butternut on some cedar trellis.

    Vertical gardening is AWESOME!
