Would you try KFC's Beyond Meat chicken nugget things?
My take on them is that they are nothing but laboratory-created, chemical concoctions.
I ain't gonna eat them!

And the real Chicken McNuggets are none of those things?
Have you seen any of the ingredients? I'd give it a try. A lot of things taste like chicken. It's on my list to try the Burger King Impossible Burger Whopper. I don't think we have the fake chicken out here.
Is this like the Quorn stuff? I agree, no lab grown mushroom food or whatever that is.
I became vegetarian at 16, that was a really long time ago. I know now there is food available if I am away from home and starving at least, but I really have been fine all these years. I am rather bugged by all this, Boca (a company that makes burgers and much more) has been around since 1976. Burger King has a veggie burger right now, the Morningstar brand. It looks like a veggie burger with actual veggies in it. Last time I got one I made sure it wasn't an impossible burger, too much junk in it and I would be too nervous that I got meat.
There grumpy veggie person,
No. I don't eat processed food if I can help it. I last stepped into a fast food place over 20 years ago. Ok, pizza I have rarely.
The Beyond Meat folks probably think it's beneficial for the world at least (and profitable of course), for people to eat less meat, and it probably is, and as people are eating ridiculous processed garbage anyway ... you don't just offer "lentil soup" on the menu or something I guess.
Trees don't grow on money
We eat Boca burgers and morningstar and tvp, have been eating tvp for 50 years now.
I saw a breakdown of Impossible Burger and its ingredients were indistinguishable from dog food. I generally avoid engineered food-like substances.
