    Identity Theft Protection

    What is your opinion of McAfee identity theft protection?

    Simone: I'm not familiar with this particular product, but I do not have any identity theft protection coverage.

    Appreciate your responses.
    I'm reluctant to provide them with the reams of information about our family they require to protect us.

    If you have AAA you can get identity theft monitoring at no additional cost through them.

    Identity theft monitoring seems to be good for telling you after the fact that you were compromised. Personally I don't have any, but I have frozen my credit reports at the big three credit bureaus. If/when I need to open a new account or otherwise grant access to my report I'll unfreeze it and then refreeze it. This is now a free service to anyone.

    Thanks. I followed up on your information.

    I would have to upgrade my membership. My annual fee would rise from $58/yr. to $129/yr. Maybe the fees differ by state? For me, there would be the additional cost.

    No upgrade needed for me but AAA services vary by region. I have AAA Northeast.
