Would an impeachment lead to change?

What I'm getting at is change beyond who's sitting in the Oval Office. Would the election process perhaps morph into something a tad less nasty? Maybe would Americans learn something from this and look for different qualities in who they seem fit for this job? Just any change at all? I'm hoping. Rob
