But jep, they were all on stage to go after each other.

Do you sincerely think this was women going after women?

    Foolishness knows no gender.

I’m guessing that Gabbard will reap fundraising benefits from this nonsense. In that sense, Hillary will have helped her far more than any hostile foreign power.

Though, looking at the intelligence reports on Russian interference in our elections, this is just the sort of thing they'd do - sow disinformation and conspiracy theories, and get someone vaguely influential to buy into one of them and repeat the agitprop. ...
Clinton did her best to warn us. We will ignore, mock, facilitate Russian interference at our peril. Read any of Malcolm Nance's excellent books. Putin's entire focus is to destabilize the West. He must be very proud of his work.

If the West can be destabilized by Facebook posts, then it doesn’t deserve to survive.

I had dinner the other week with "the world's most overrated general", and other members of The Deep State, and cocktail conversation was vaguely along the lines of how foolish we all have been, and how easily we've fallen for all this nonsense.

It has always been the case that disinformation was used to shape public opinion.

However, over the past decades, it has become possible to generate, target, and distribute disinformation at a rate and with an effectiveness unprecedented in human history. Some folks have recognized this, and are getting quite good at manipulating the voting public and our elected representatives.

If you've seen what is possible now to do with fake audio/video, and looked at the graphs of how interconnected people are, and how fast information spreads through networks of connections, well....

Critical thinking - it's the only thing that can save us :-) Alas, it's not something we are evolved to do well.

trump is the one destabilizing us. Just look at his pullout recently and who ran "to the rescue".
