I recently watched the Man Who Killed Hitler Then the Big Foot as a DVD Netflix rental. Expectations were low based on the title but I'm a fan of Sam Elliot. The story actually matches the title, but instead of a B action or Sci Fi movie (which I can also like) it was more of a fantasy feel good story. Well done, with some romance, adventure, and a more than simple plot. It was a nice escape.

I watched "A Ghost Story" on Netflix last night. It was as exciting as watching hair grow. There was a scene where the female lead sits on the floor and eats an entire pie in a single, unedited clip. Picture it: fork to pie, bring to mouth, chew, swallow, fork to pie . . . and on and on and on for what felt like forever. A small blessing is that her subsequent vomiting was not treated with such endless detail. Towards the end, the progress bar showing how close I was to the end of the movie became the only real source of excitement.

It had good performances, but Parasite, Little Women, and JoJo Rabbit of the Oscar nominated films were more memorable for me.

i’m surprise you stuck with it.

I was aware of how slowly time passed while watching that movie yet I could not turn it off. It gripped me for the duration. The pie eating scene was stupidL I remember thinking that skinny girl has never eaten a pie like that. I didn’t find the way she ate it to be believable. But that is a minor criticism. It was an odd and engaging film

IL: I kept thinking that surely something had to happen at some point, and it would be a shame to have sat through all the tedium only to miss the good part.

LOVE Sam Elliot, but never heard of this movie. Will definitely look for it. Thanks!
