Yppej: That one is on my list; please let me know what you think of it. I too am disappointed that our library has no plans to re-open yet. I typically order books online and pick them up at the desk. They could certainly offer limited services with very low contact.

I enjoyed this one, as well as Golfing With God by the same author.

I understand they are working on a TV series based on Major Pettigrew.

I had not heard that. Look forward to that, likely coming out thru Acorn streaming service.

Reading and enjoying very much "Greenwood," by Michael Christie. Bae, it's kinda set in your neck of the woods--actually Canada, I guess. Sordid story of 2 timber barons, the ones who came after them (an environmental activist and her granddaughter, a docent for the last standing old growth forest), and the loss of timber. Lots of intrigue, lying and scandal. And trees.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!
