To me it does. If you identified enough of a need to want to purchase something that filled that need, and then you discovered you could use something you already had, that's repurposing. That's frugal.

Our frugal for yesterday was hosting a dinner party at which we had a major equipment malfunction. Fortunately, most of what was made for the party could eaten uncooked. The plenty left over is in our fridge. This morning I made an omelet for breakfast from some leftover onion, peperoncini, and prosciutto. Some of what's left will go into my daily salads. And we'll snack on the rest. I plan to take apart the offending appliance and try to fix it myself (I fixed our toaster several years back and it's still going strong).

Sure it counts! There's not much that's more frugal than not buying something at all.

Thanks all!!! I actually tried the pan-over-pan for one loaf of bread yesterday. Seems it did come out a little bit moister! Will have to play around with it.

I just ordered from Chewy.com for the first time because I was having trouble sourcing something locally. I ordered enough to get free shipping and was also able to use the $15 new customer coupon that they sent me.

Rosa, Chewy is a awesome company. I have ordered from them for years. If your pet dies or can’t eat the food you just bought if you ask them if you can ship it back for a refund they tell you to donate it and give you a full refund.

Good to know, TT. Hopefully I won't have to take them up on the refund policy anytime soon!
I just bought a big pile of books at the library for my MIL for $5.00. Reading voraciously seems to be her only activity at the nursing home, so I want to keep her well supplied. They have a great selection, prices cannot be beat, and I'm helping to support the library.
