    Labyrinth

Has anyone been involved in the construction of a labyrinth?
my church is in the beginning planning stages. I’m looking for reports of some real life experiences of the building process.

One of the churches in our village has one, and the whole community loves it.

Here it is in the snow last night:

That's beautiful! Is that much snow a regular occurrence?

Very very rare. Some years we get no snow at all. We're getting hit with a big storm event this week, it's "exciting".

Funny ... I grew up on Long Island, NY. Plenty of moisture, but we got just enough mention of snow and then nothing but cold slush to make a real snow event - like, up to two feet of snow or more when it was finally cold enough - honestly magical. Here in Tucson snow is also really rare, and these life-stopping snow events are typically an inch of accumulation on the grass only. Oh no, the rain is white!

I have an acquaintance who made a labyrinth in her living room. No furniture but a bench on the side. She used tile. I don't have any experience with an outdoor walking meditation, other than to think it might have been a bit more practical.

We had a big piece of land with one close to our house. Many people that knew about it would take their big dogs off leash and it was fun to do. The dogs would follow behind us. They were probably wondering what we were doing) Our big guy died and just drove by the other day and it’s fenced off and houses being built.

I did very briefly, as part of an herbal conference. The organizer already had the layout in mind and marked when the corners were, and we filled in the rest with sand or dried grass. This was intended to be temporary for the day, not what you're looking for.
