You guys, I didn’t intend for the thread to become about my pet. It’s about tipping! I’ll probably write about my dog later. we are actually doing OK today

As far as tipping I think I would go with the people who've commented that "above and beyond" service gets a tip, or perhaps a better tip. At the least I'd treat them kindly, offer them a glass of water, the use of the restroom, whatever.
