All the sports cancellations. One boss was supposed to be leaving town to the NCAA wrestling finals, nope. KC mayor declared a state of emergency, and to the best of my knowledge, no one in the metro area, is sick, YET. (one possible one on the way as someones spouse said they thought they had it and in stead of staying where they were, they are traveling home, possibly infecting every gas station along the way)
    She went home.
A friend and former coworker, said his work, told everyone in the company, nationwide, to telecommute for the foreseeable future (approx, 39,000 and the company is set up for 17K to telecommute).
Asked a bank president I know, if people were worried about cash, due to how filthy the money is, or if they were having a run. One customer was pulling out $100K in cash to have on hand. My jaw hit the floor, and then my boss and I questioned each other, if this was so they could buy up stuff, when people were looking for cash to buy whatever, and then sell it later, for more money.

So Gimmethesimplelife, my question back (as someone who doesn't travel) is, how is this affecting your business?

My husband is on the board of our Irish group and I suggested he bring up canceling events because the group tends to be older. They canceled the parade for Saturday and even the brew bike event which only holds 10 people. They are taking a wait and see attitude with the large Celtic event but I am sure that won’t be held. That’s their yearly fundraiser so not sure how the group will do without the money. The casinos are still busy on the weekends per my DIL.

They have canceled the two Saint Patrick day parades here, the big one and the small one.

Both CHI St P’s parades have been cancelled, the one downtown and the south side one. The downtown one includes dyeing the river green. That’s cancelled, too.

The NYC St. Pat's parade is also cancelled (Cuomo says "postponed" but we'll see if anyone is really interested in doing it in the summer or fall. I think he's trying to let everyone down easy.)
