Still waiting to decide if I should tell my UK-based client that the CDC recommends that I avoid the 3 airports I'll have to fly through to get to a rural area in TN for one patient interview. I'm going to offer to drive instead, 28 hours round trip at a relatively robust hourly charge + hotel and gas.

He'll probably opt for the video interview.

Yes I will. I have 3 trips in the next 120 days. Be cautious, take wipes and clean your plane space.

I will not fly. I am 65 with asthma and HBP and my husband has diabetes. Not sure if I would drive but your son should be understanding. My oldest son is really worried and if he calls and I am out he asks why I am not home.

Gardnr, I am not promoting anyone "get all their news from Fox."
But I and others distinctly remember the CDC telling people over 60 not to fly; now, apparently, the website is revised and does not mention this.

That is a story, regardless of one's opinion of Fox news. I thought that was the story that Fox was talking about.

What exactly is the CDC recommending now?

That was what I was referring to. The public deserves the truth, whatever that might be with this outbreak.

Here is the latest, updated yesterday, information from the CDC. I was not saying that YOU promoted Fox as a single source. My comment was a generalization as I sadly know a whole lot of people look at nothing else.

    That's a good, comprehensive directive.
But then there's Mike Pence saying he's going to keep shaking hands because "that's what we do."

    How irresponsible is this?
Vice President Pence on Tuesday said the Trump campaign will determine on a day-to-day basis whether to continue holding campaign rallies and said he and President Trump would continue shaking hands even as public health officials warn of the risks of both amid the coronavirus outbreak. If he's expecting divine intercession here, I hope it works. Maybe he's just toeing the company line though, because he was more circumspect earlier: "Pence opted to greet Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) with an elbow bump upon arriving there last week to discuss the state's coronavirus response." (The Hill)
