So, we've been talking coronavirus and we've been talking election, but it's time to recognize that they are not discrete events. The virus is now going to have a powerful impact on the election.
When Bernie did not-so-well last night, I told my husband that in the eyes of the voters, a revolutionary/insurrectionist is not going to do well in the face of medical and economic threats. The fear of the unknown killed Bernie last night--not Joe Biden.

At the rate our government is screwing up in the face of the mass of knowledge, we need something/someone new.
Trump has lost a lot of leverage on the economy, which was one or the main talking point a few weeks ago. How the virus plays out and how well his deceitful responses go over with his base and the rest of us is probably going to be important. Donald's tax cuts are generally popular even if they don't really help the economy. There could be a change horses in the middle of the stream thought about switching leaders in the middle of a health epidemic could play. Cvid-19 definitely changes how things will play out, but a lot of unknowns. Biden has his imagine issues.

Much like Trump, Biden seems to slip into aggressive bluster and vulgarity, apparently believing that makes him look tough.
Not that Anyone cares, but I believe in my heart of hearts Joe Biden is actually a pretty nice guy, for a long term pol anyway. I believe in my heart of hearts that Trump is a self-centered ass although affable.
This opinion of their core persona doesnt speak to their worthiness as Prez.
I disagree. I think the media and the internet (including this very site) have convinced us that the populace wants the government to provide for us, that meritocracy must be replaced by gender, race and identity, that socialism is cool and capitalism sucks.
As a rule, conservatives never bought into that foolishness and now this primary has shown us that the majority of Democrats agree with us. I'm pleasantly surprised!
