Perfect--that sounds ever so safe and cozy, SiouzQ.
My plan is to finish the first draft of a book review, make a batch of chai, and now that my sewing machine is back from the repair shop I can work on husband's suit. That's enough to get me through Sunday.
I cancelled all hotel reservations for the myriad conferences jam-packed into my month of May:
Regional Iris convention in Kansas City, National Garden club conference in Milwaukee, American Iris Society conference in Newark. The state NGC convention was close enough that I didn’t have to stay in a hotel.
I had not yet made airplane reservations for Newark.
Our North American Lily Society conference in Ontario in ?July hasn’t been cancelled.
There are those of us with oodles of time, like Siouzie Q says. I feel so sorry for those out there in the world running around to keep the world afloat, like Tammy for instance.
So I guess I am “helping” by staying at home, keeping out of the way of this virus, so that the Tammies of the world won’t have to triage my hospital treatment.
I got called to do an dog pick up at County animal control next Monday, and I’m not happy about venturing out to do that, but it has to be done, so I’m putting it under the heading of “essential trip.”
What a week. And I’m on call this weekend. I’m going to sleep soon, before 7:30 pm. 😴 💤
I have just been to depressed to really do anything except grade. My husband and I did play a fun game today. I need to clean but what’s the point.
Today I will
- call my dad in the nursing home and try to speak to both of them
- do another hour on the copyediting
- deep clean bedroom

I'm doing the spring cleaning that I never actually get to, because once the weather gets nice I want to be outside playing in the dirt. Yesterday it was doing a deep clean of the finished part of the basement, including getting the bugs out of the fluorescent light fixtures. Today, its putting the screens back in the windows, so once its nice we are ready to go.
