This is a timely discussion for me. I've been having my hair colored for years now; I guess you could call it dark blonde? It is coming in mostly white along my part line and crown, and I'm sort of curious to see what it really looks like. I was wondering about getting some temporary color and doing it platinum, if such a thing is possible, to get a better sense if I would like my hair without color. From what I can see so far, it looks like I would be about 90% salt and 10% pepper.

I think if it is coming in white you could do a platinum blonde--I've seen that shade at the health food store with Herbatint, I think?
