Recession, depression, a number of years floundering, a repeat of Argentina in 2001, or a quick recovery?
Honestly, this time I have no opinion to add - this is all so unchartered and bizarre. I'm just wondering what you'all think? Rob

I honestly think going forward it is best to look at one's personal economy--how is one going to work and get the money to feed oneself and house oneself etc., that just as in the Depression, personal economies will be more relevant that pronuncimentos about "The US economy."
Recession for sure, depression maybe. There will be winners like Amazon and losers like airlines. Not everyone will be impacted the same.
I give it a big "I don't know". What would I like to see? I would like to see a ton of family small business get tons of support and tone down the corporations where minimum wage workers support 7 figure corporate salaries.
For instance: our Organic CSA employees 13. With the couple who owns the business, 15 adults earn $15/hour which is a good living wage for their location. They have a big beautiful farm, a home they love right there, and a great gathering place for dinners, wine tastings and sale of craft items consigned by other local artists. They've created a beautiful life for their family and the 13 team members. I paid $690 for an 18 week share. I will not buy any produce until October with the exception of tomatoes until those come on.
The small town I grew up in, has a local creamery. They sell bottled milk in all fat "weights" and their handmade ice cream. They buy from local dairies and they do a bang up business. Yes, ice cream scooper/servers are generally minimum wage and that's fine for teens. In turn they employer truckers to move their product around the area.
We've got a local cheese maker who does well.
When we want breakfast out? We go to a local joint not Cracker Barrel. And our local just reopened after 8w down. They were thankfully recipients of a PPE!
Buy local? You're buyin' America made!
Definitely a recession. My kids are majorly affected but not us.
I predict that markets will fluctuate.
Should have been that's akin to me predicting above. Rob
