    Frugal luxuries

Just for fun, I thought I'd start a thread for frugal luxuries, summer edition.

When we went on lockdown, I bought four boxes of Swedish pancakes. Lingonberries on Swedish pancakes is my top frugal luxury right now.

A brand new bar of soap is another.

Do you have any frugal luxuries this summer?

A case of assorted ramen noodles.
    I'll show myself out.

But I'm thinking about a vibration plate. Does anyone have any experience with them?

I found this recipe for Tri Tip steak in the insta pot, for all you Insta potters. I was too afraid of mine and sent it back

It's a vibrating device that increases circulation, etc. From their Amazon page:

Whole Body Vibrations (WBV) have shown to calm the nervous system and relieve stress and pain throughout your body. Therapeutic vibrations increase blood flow, improving your circulation , protecting your nerves and bones, repairing old injuries, and loosening stiff joints — providing you with true, lasting pain relief and a greater range of motion as you continue to improve.

I would definitely prefer a roast, so this is good to know.

You shouldn't be afraid--IPs have something like eleven safety features. And even then, I'm never in the same room with mine when it's under pressure, anyway. I love that you can just chuck ingredients in it and walk away.

No, but I'm curious, does it relax the noodles?

    Haha!

I understand it can make your muscles (of which I have few left) feel all noodle-y afterwards.

I don't have many (any?) lower body exercise options, so I'm interested in this.

For me, meat goes on the grill/smoker. We like the flavor we get from natural smoke.
