The "something fancier" was a tri-tip steak I bought by chance at an Asian supermarket. Tough?? DW wouldn't even try it. I soldiered through a piece though I think it would have been less work overall to open a can of tuna or something. I will turn the rest of the steak into thinly-sliced beef for pho or somesuch. Maybe roast chicken tonight....
