Last night was leftovers. We have a tiny casino downtown that has a half pound burger with a pound of fries for $8. It’s delicious and called the awful-awful. The casino is closing because of the virus. It’s so tiny that operating at 50% capacity they cannot stay afloat. We are getting carry out today.

Bamboo shoots with tomato sauce and Mexican cheese blend. This might be my new pasta substitute.

Yppej, do you cut up the bamboo shoots? How do you prepare them for this?

Thanks, Yppej. I'll have to pick up a can of bamboo shoots next time I'm shopping.

Last night was BLTs with homemade whiskey sours (freshly squeezed lemon juice). Tonight will be smoked salmon on bagels with cream cheese, capers, tomato, and cucumber.
