    I never purée my split pea soup either. I like it chunky. I put carrots, onion, and sometimes potatoes in it along with peas and hambones.

    KayLR - thanks for the 2 ingredient bagel recipe! Will definitely have to try that. If you make your own self-rising flour, it only ups the ingredient list to 4 - lol.

    Dinner tonight is more Christmas dinner leftovers. I did pack up about 4 meals of turkey and about 4 quarts of broth into the freezer.

    tonight will be leftovers from LAST night, which was a pork loin braised in hard cider with leeks, parsnips, and celery root, and a lovely sauce made with the left-over liquid.
