Do you read OHJ (not to be confused with This Old House)? I often think of you when reading it and I think you would love it if you aren't already a fan. Anyhow, I just finished the April issue, which had an article about the "Magic Chef House" and owner Shelley Donaho. I feel reasonably certain that you know both the house and the owner. It looks like an amazing place!
I do know Shelley Donaho and her house! The magic chef mansion is pretty great. I was in it 25 or so years ago before it was renovated and I’ve been in it as recently as two years agoM after renovation.
The old condominium building where I have looked at two units is next-door to her.
I will also add, apropos of nothing, that Shelly is on the board of my favorite park in the city which is not a city park, interestingly enough, it is privately managed. Eons ago she dated a friend of ours. We always say what a shame I didn’t get hitched,he could’ve been the owner of that big house. He’s a carpenter and would’ve been a very good Caretaker for that house.
