My daughter and I have been purging her books and dropped of 116 of them (!!!) to a friend who is a principal at a K-8th grade school who said she could pass them on to students. Also, we passed on one book to a friend.

I can't believe we had so many she was done with!

Total for month so far: 148!

Yesterday we took two pairs of skis and a sewing machine and some miscellaneous kitchen stuff to the Goodwill.

A bookstore who took 5 boxes of books last year has agreed to take up to 100. I may finally get outta the book business, but actually I think that will only be about 1/2 of what’s left. We’ll see!

Also, because of covid, we’re eating more formal meals, and keep running out of dishes etc. at or before dinner. Unacceptable. Decided I wanted enamelware. But I’m cheap and DH doesn’t like the idea. So, instead decided we’d use the Bavarian China of my Mom's that my stepmother didn’t break. (She put it thru the dishwasher.) I’ve tried to sell the stuff locally and can’t. I probably could in the nearest big town, but that’s 1 hour+ away, closer to 2 hours.

That will be a big cull, when I get to it, at least 3 boxes? I may put aside the pieces I don’t need, cups, saucers, the serving pieces, etc. and see if I can’t sell those to replacements or haul them to the city instead.

I’m changing my diving style from two tanks on the back to a tank on each side. My knees just can’t take the weight of the two on my back anymore and I can’t get them up the boat ladder.

So I’m posting the harness/air bladder and other associated bits for sale online. Scuba gear sale groups on FB. Should come away with about $350.

In the last week I’ve jettisoned a few things that annoy me. I really like that Marie Kondo idea of “spark joy “I can really relate to that.

Sold a small purse on Poshmark. One less thing in my house and $20 in my bank account.

My husband is finally selling his entire collection of "stuff". He tried to sell it as one lot but they did not offer enough so he is doing Ebay. So far so good. About 30 boxes out the door. Much more scheduled for the next two months. I might even gain a whole room.

Donations pickups are starting to resume - 1 full box and 4 reusable bags full of a variety of items. My donation corner is empty - ready to be filled again! LOL

Got rid of a highchair I bought for my granddaughter, a pair of crutches, a luggage cart, and a grill.
