We bought a new Maytag top load from Home Depot in Sept. 2017It was $464 Model MVWC416- Once i got used to the long wash time and how to stop it to put something in it without having it start all over I am fine. i do clean it once a month or so with a cup of bleach or vinegar and use the clean cycle. there are only 2 of us,retired, so 3 loads or 4 a week at most.

My son said for most clothes the quick wash at 36 minutes is perfect.

I haven’t figured out how to stop my washing machine once it starts, or to even just set it on soak. I actually read the manual or at least skimmed it hoping I could pick up that tip, but it didn’t happen.

I do hate the new washers but I am resigned to having what I have with the features that the government says I must have. With the features that the government says I must have.

I read parts of the manual and find it easy to use. I am in love)
