The color I like best (periwinkle) skews blue with just a touch of purple.
Since I painted my house a sage-y green, when I do my window boxes I include a lot of purple with some yellow. I love the green/purple combo. Green/periwinkle works, too, of course. Love periwinkle.

This morning I went to the granite place to lay out the countertop for my condo kitchen. You would think this big slab of marble would very easily accommodate my tiny kitchen, but apparently there’s not going to be a lot of excess because it’s based on how they cut it.

Are the blue lines defining the shapes to be cut? Did this granite come from somewhere in the eastern US? How think is a slab of granite for kitchen counters? Never had a chance to ask anyone before so that is why I am being nosy.
As Cicero said, “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.”
I welcome the questions! This slab is actually marble, I should’ve made it clear. The granite place also sells marble.
Yes the areas defined by blue tape are the pieces that will be cut. The longest rectangular piece is the sink counter piece. Because the slab has lots of swirly pattern, they let me come in to choose which portions would be used for which pieces of the countertop.
