Oh yes, Happy stuff, my husband taught elem. Phys. Ed. and there was a bathroom in the gym. The first graders needed to be taught how to use the urinal....One was busy singing away in a very loud voice, Bill opened the door and said, "Hey, quiet down." The little one turned, penis in hand and oh, my, pee all over the floor! Bill didn't mean to scare him, but he did.

LOL - funny, nswef. That's one of the reasons I wanted the elementary school. The kids are little and accidents are accidents. At the middle school, it was deliberate - target practice at everything except the toilets/uriinals.

Halfway through my 2nd week at the elementary school and starting to get in the swing of it. Yes, it's still just cleaning, but there are differences. This is the last week of school and they are all half days, so my hours have changed to being a little earlier. Next week we all start our "summer hours" which will be 4 - 10 hours days starting at 6 am. Trying to start adjusting to an earlier morning now. LOL. Anyway, so far so good on the school change!

Just finished my first week of summer hours (4 - 10 hour days). It was nice to roll over and go back to sleep for another hour or two this morning. LOL.

Only other coworker in my customs dept was off the Thursday/Friday before the 4th and then the entire following week. I spent the week after (last week) recovering from him being gone. Had a meltdown while he was off. It was just all too much. Talked to the one owner. He said they’re hiring 1-2 more import people and will look for people with customs experience to help us and be backup when one of us is on vacation.

I’m off 8/3-8/10 when I’m in MX for my full cave diving class. I have two weeks to get everything I’ve got done ahead for when I’m gone and clean up some lingering issues. Customs’ system is having major issues today. That prevents me from working on current stuff, but I’m able to get data entry done on stuff coming in next week or while I’m gone.

Ugggh. Hopefully they can get the new import people plus people with customs experience that are needed.

I can totally relate. At my no longer new (since I just passed my 3rd year anniversary) job, we're experiencing major growth. Both because we've proven ourselves good at writing profitable business and because the cyber insurance market is in chaos so 50-100% premium increases are the norm at the annual policy renewal. We wrote $50m premium last year. We managed to find funding for $80m premium this year, but during the first half of the year boss was working to find more capital funding and now we have a $108m premium goal for the year. We had booked $40m at the end of June. Now we are furiously hiring underwriters so that we can actually come close to writing that much business. But because of the chaos in the market there are a bunch of tech companies making plays in the cyber insurance market, paying tech startup salaries to insurance underwriters, so we've interviewed several qualified people who weren't interested in working for us because they already make more than my boss does...
