Tradd, I'm so glad your new job and boss are remaining a pleasant change. How nice it is to be treated as an adult.

Okay, so I am now being trained in a new area - HOPEFULLY temporarily!!! - as I am now packaging items before final shipment. It entails standing at a table, confirming items and packing out. Just standing. For 8 hours. Standing. Sigh...

I definitely enjoyed the picking better as I was able to move and remain active. If this new position is where they plan to keep me, I'll definitely be looking for a new job. Hopefully, it is just a "training" period for temporary assistance as needed.

Standing in one spot is so hard on the back. Walking is so much better.

Definitely! My back hurt so bad last night, I wasn't sure I would make it through the last 2 hours. But... trying to remain optimistic and, hopefully, this will be a very short term assignment.

Happy, Biofreeze is wonderful for aching muscles/joints. You can get it at any big box store or pharmacy. Worth every penny. I slather it on my bad knees every morning. Suggest Motrin, Advil, or pain killer of choice, as well.

Made note of the Biofreeze, thanks, Tradd. I have been doing the various pain killers, but I really don't like taking them often - rarely, if at all. However, I feel like I've been taking a lot lately. But, then again, they do help so... LOL - damned if I do and damned if I don't.

I see no reason that those picking and those standing still, couldn’t trade places every hour throughout the shift.

When will we learn that humans are not machines.

When the people who assume that they are have been permanently removed from power by the humans they assume to be machines.

Oh no, Happy, I hope the change is temporary as well. That sounds unpleasant.

Thanks, all. This too, shall pass. LOL. It'll be fine - one way or another.
