    LPR-Silent Reflux

    So another unfortunate update...

Last winter I was diagnosed with LPR-Silent reflux. All those years of extreme overeating took their toll.

The reflux was very painful and really kicking my butt.

I got scoped and they gave me some meds that did not work (they work for GERD, not LPR-silent reflux).

So in April I started a very special low acid, low fat whole foods diet. And this helped tremendously -- it is however very bland and I cannot eat any of my favorite foods. This sucks.

But I have stuck with it because the LPR is so horrible.

I lost about 20 elbeez too.

So it seems I was finally able to use minimalism in my diet. haha

I have gerd. If I eat half as much at meals, don’t snack, and drink only water, I have no symptoms.

That’s a tough plan to follow so I take the meds when needed. But I try to follow the plan ...

Also, it’s quite individualized as to which foods/drinks create symptoms in each person.

Agreed, everyone is different. Some people with reflux can eat pizza all day with no issues, others not so much. Here are some generally accepted foods to avoid with reflux
Also make sure to sleep with your head raised
