Hoarfrost in a line of spruce trees, half an hour before sunset.

I visited Quebec City during their Winter Carnival enjoying its lovely ice and snow sculptures. The design, effort and maintenance required is amazing.
This ice and snow festival in China is incredible and beautiful, almost unbelievable.
Chinese do these things to a huge degree and it’s amazing what they can accomplish. I’m not sure that I like it better than the smaller ones, the smaller ice sculptures and ice cities, it’s just almost too much I think. I think they lack artistry. But it certainly is a sight to behold that’s for sure.

Up North we got our share of snow. 10 inches fell last night.

Adirondack chairs and a table on my backyard deck in the morning sun.

Not to brag or anything, just sharing...20210101_173329.jpg20210109_213646.jpg
here are a couple things I've finished during the pandemic to 1-pass the time and 2-create something pretty to look at.
My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!

We've had a very, very mild winter. Only one real frost to speak of. So no real winter beauty, just wet trees, yards and streets. It hasn't even been that rainy. I do have flowers here and there which have bloomed through the winter. They're so confused. My lavender has never stopped.

Wonderful needlework. Hearts are always a favorite here.

I'm convinced mild winters are a trend in the Northwest. I only like snow when I have nowhere to go. And that includes the mailbox.
