As Cicero said, “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.”
I believe the original pigments (mostly shades of ochre and also charcoal) are being used, but newer ones as well.
They really feel immediate and fresh, and not like an ancient art form.
I love art (and craft as well) though not particularly the "old Masters" type.

I enjoy when innovative art is both beautiful and surprises me. Neat to see these.

My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished two bags of M&Ms and a chocolate cake. I feel better already!
Interesting woman and work, Kay.

I think I saw her profiled on television. I'm happy she's keeping a precious tradition alive--she does meticulous work. Love the shallow rice baskets.
Makes my fingers hurt to think of all that fine work! How dedicated she is!

I visited Quebec City during their Winter Carnival enjoying its lovely ice and snow sculptures. The design, effort and maintenance required is amazing.
This ice and snow festival in China is incredible and beautiful, almost unbelievable.
