    Maskne

Is anyone else getting this? My face in that area is red, sore, and so dry it is flaking for about a week now. I have never had rosacea or similar skin problems before.

No because I’m always home without a mask because I have long covid since July.

I prefer maskne to long covid.

(I realize Yppej blocked me. I answer sometimes for the benefit of others. It’s a whispered side conversation ...)

I realize I am probably blocked as well, but I wear a mask 8 hours a day at work, which is physical and I do sweat. I just wash regularly and dry completely once the mask is off - good hygiene goes a long way.

I've had to wear masks for years. Proper skin care seems to address most of the issues.

My CPAP causes more problems, but even that is manageable.

You should see the marks a ventilator leaves though!

FYI - do folks realize that - if someone who is not blocked quotes a post from someone who is blocked - the quote of that blocked post will show up. LOL. Just saying....

At least, that is how it ended up last time I checked.

How do you see who has blocked you?

Yppej, this article gives some suggestions--it is from the American Academy of Dermatology:

Disposable masks are much easier on the face than thicker cotton cloth ones. Seems the cloth ones hole the moisture against the skin. I tried both while exercising and walkng. Prefer the disposables.
