My grand nieces (7 and 9) are setting up a juice bar this afternoon. I purchased a bunch of different juices and flavored seltzers and made some fruit garnishes with some sparkly party picks I had bought years ago (kind of over the top gaudy, but just perfect for 7 and 9 year olds). The 9 year old is making a sign and menus for the bar.

As for what I'm personally drinking, its typically the finest cardboardeux (aka wine in a box ) though I did take a trip to Trader Joe's this week and pick up a few bottles. Also have some spiced hard cider.

Catherine you will love it. Plus it ranges from 50-70 calories).

Herb, the seltzer bar sounds like good fun for your nieces and adults.

Wine for me as well and this is the reminder I needed to go get some for the long weekend.

Kombucha is pretty easy to make--you just need a SCOBY (available on Amazon or from your friendly neighborhood dealer ) I use jasmine green tea, but the possibilities are endless.

I might have a hot buttered brandy, but I'll probably stick to grapefruit juice, flavored sparkling water, or tricked-out coffee. I like the idea of drinking booze better than the reality of it; I love reading recipes for mixed drinks.

I haven't drunk much except Trader Joe's red tart (spoiler: it's not tart, it's sweet) cherry juice. Yummy empty calories.

Except last night I'm nursing a bottle of wine in bed. More bad news. Argh I can't take anymore. I told people not to pass Murphy's law and what do you know they voted for it 60-40 anyway, now everything that can goes wrong, does go wrong. At least this year.

That juice bar sounds perfect for all ages.

I'm sorry, ANM. What horrible timing.

I second the Athletic Brewing Company recommendation.

Ok, to participate: I am now drinking this season’s trendy non alcoholic drink, hot milk+coco bomb.it is good but overly sweet.
