I've ordered some clothes through etsy. I bought pants (cotton/poly blend) which fit. Bought shorts/jacket from same seller, but didn't actually get what was pictured...

I bought a linen apron which I use every day.

Because a lot of what you order is made by the seller, you can specifiy things and form a relationship with them. You can specify fiber content and talk to the seller beforehand. The stuff is pricier than the thrift shops where I shop otherwise, but on sale not insanely so.

The other place I've bought clothes lately was from Garnet Hill, I bought a linen/cotton blend tunic, also on sale.

I'm revamping my wardrobe to be more minimalist. I expect this will take me some time and I'm going slowly.

NewGig: Do you have a specific seller you have had good results from?

I bought my linen apron from StacyKitchenDecor. Also bought a present for a neighbor from here. The pants and other outfit are fine, but poly/cotton and as I said, only 1/2 my order was right. I did ask about the other, but got a non-answer answer, so no. For fabric? I'd absolutely recommend SuesFabricNSuppiies. For vintage clothes, my friend sells on Etsy as Morning Glorious Vintage.

Checking back in here... I want to thank everyone who contributed such thoughtful responses here.

I found 2 new long sleeved TeeShirts, in a brand I’ve bought before, on eBay. Finally, after 6 more pairs of pants, got denim pants that fit me from JCPenny online. Still haven’t gotten credits for the 6 I’ve returned, but I have learned I can let the credit card company collect my refunds by filing with them, as long as I have the return shipping receipt.

I bought the hoodie several people mentioned- I love it! Thank you!

And I just got a sales email from JCP and ordered short sleeved v-neck tees on sale for $5.99!

Thanks to Rosa in particular for suggesting reading the reviews. I always do that for house stuff on Amazon, no idea why I wasn’t for clothing as well.

I only order clothes online. I will say mostly from the places I generally know the fit and sizing. LandsEnd.com is pretty much my entire wardrobe and husband's. REI is another, I order and do pick up since not far away. I have not purchased from a store in 2 years. I measure myself and try not to look at the size but only measurements. I found years ago the sizes have changed greatly! Shoes this past year I learned how to measure my feet for running shoes as they were one product I felt I had needed to be fitted for, not anymore.

I'm glad you have had some success!
