This one had to be explained to me. How do these things get started?

I havent heard this one. At all.
I just asked DH about it, and he knew all about it being the .trumpster that he is.
As I understand it, it's recently become popular at various sporting events (initially starting at college football games I believe) for the crowd to chant "F*** Joe Biden" over and over. When a recent NASCAR crowd did the same last week at the same time that an NBC reporter was interviewing a driver named Brandon, the reporter announced on air that they were chanting "Let's go Brandon" when obviously they were not.

I find it interesting hearing where these things come from.
I’ve heard a lot of explanations for “okay”, for instance. My favorite is that it came from Martin Van Buren’s nickname, and got picked up by telegraph operators as a useful abbreviation. But I also heard it attributed to copy editors and a similar sounding Choctaw word.
